Yes you can.

The day/night separator is actually a layer on the map. To add or remove layers on the map, float your mouse over the map layer button in the top right of the map.

The map layer selector will pop up and you can click on and off the type of layer you want to see.

Click the Day/Night button to show the day/night layer on the map.
